Nike Hypervenom Phantom is a football cleats specifically designed for Neymar Jr. Da Silva Santos, a famous Brazilian Football player. It’s not his signature shoes, but the shoe’s specifications was made for Neymar’s fast, agile and quick playing style whenever he steps on the pitch.
Now moving on to the Product Review.
Nike Hypervenom Phantom was initially released last 2013 – 2014 La Liga Season when Neymar joined FC Barcelona, in his debut with the club, he worn the Nike Hypervenom Phantom Bright Citrus and Black colorway, after that some colorways was released, including the Neo lime colorway.
Nike Hypervenom Phantom Neo lime colorway consist of different materials specialized to resemble a venomous snake ready to hunt it’s prey. It’s a lightweight shoe that only weighs exactly about 7 ounces. It’s components that is put on to this shoes are Nike Skin synthetic, ACC or the All Conditions Control which was implemented into every Nike’s top-end football cleats(top-end means the highest class from the product line.), and lastly the Conical studs and Blade studs.
First specs to be review is the Nike Skin. Nike Skin synthetic has a base layer of a honeycomb mesh that supports the other layers in the shoe. This synthetic is very thin, very soft and stretchable which is unusual for a thin synthetic material because usual thin synthetic materials don’t tend to stretch, what mainly happens is it rips hole in the main body of the shoe, or mostly in the side part because of kicking. This is the most comfortable shoe in the market that is released now, the main body is easy to break-in but the sole plate needs a little bit more time for you to break-in(to break-in means to be comfortable; the time needed to be comfortable with the shoe.) Nike skin was only implemented to the Hypervenom Phantom, meaning that this is the only shoe from Nike that consist of these synthetic.
The next specs is the ACC or All Conditions Control feature of the shoe. This feature helps the shoe to be useful in any weather conditions, even if it’s snowing or raining this shoe will still be responsive and has a proper grip to the ball. This is also added as a padding to the synthetic and acts as a wet condition control. So even if your field is wet this shoe will still properly grip to the ball and it will make you avoid slippage. The ACC marking is usually seen at the tongue of the shoe. The tongue of Hypervenom is off-centered, this is useful for kicking the ball with your hard bone in your foot to hit it much stronger and with a proper amount of force.
Last part to be discussed is the Stud patterns. The first stud pattern, which mostly consist the shoe is the Conical stud pattern. This stud pattern helps in twisting a turning to different directions without tripping, because the shape is conical, it is easier to turn 360 degrees and to do a Roulette (a famous football move wherein you spin 360 degrees to past off the defender) The last stud patterns is the Blade stud pattern, which is visible only in the middle and top part of the sole plate. This helps to stay your grip to the ground whenever you are running and dribbling the ball. The Sole Plate is composed of glass-nylon which is a very hard material, but it helps you to have a more responsive feel from the ground, it’s also rigid. You will need a little more time to break-in to the sole plate.
